Kyoritsu 6205 - Support FAQs

What tests can the Kyoritsu 6205 perform?

It can perform Earth Continuity, Insulation Resistance, Leakage Current, Extension Lead Polarity, and RCD Trip Time testing.

Can the 6205 operate on battery power?

Yes, it is fully battery-operated for insulation and continuity tests. A mains connection is required for RCD and leakage testing.

How do I know if my appliance passed the test?

The tester displays a PASS or FAIL result on-screen after each test. Refer to the manual or AS/NZS 3760 guidelines for detailed thresholds.

Why does the insulation resistance test show a low reading?

It may be due to residual current in capacitive equipment or internal moisture. Retest after a short period; if readings persist, isolate the fault.

Do I need an external printer with the 6205?

No. The Kyoritsu 6205 does not support data logging or printing. It is intended for manual documentation workflows.
