DeltaPAT MI 3309 BT – Support FAQs

How do I add a user to the tester?

Navigate to Main Menu → Setup → User Data.

You can add up to five users. Press the Tab button to enter edit mode, then use the Up/Down arrows to select letters or numbers.

Tip: You have 12 characters. We recommend using initials + licence number (e.g., AB TTT123).

Can the unit run through tests automatically?

Yes. Go to Setup → Test Speed Setup and select Fast mode.

  • Fast mode: automatically progresses through each test.
  • Standard mode: pauses between each test so you can adjust parameters.

Note: Regardless of the mode, the tester will always pause before performing Leakage or Run tests for safety reasons.

What should I do if the Earth Bond Test fails?

Check the following:

  • Ensure the return lead is connected to the tester's black socket.
  • Confirm the crocodile clip or probe is touching clean, exposed metal on the appliance under test.

Why does the screen say "LN Resistance too low or high"?

This message typically means:

  • No device is connected.
  • The appliance lacks a physical On/Off switch.
  • The unit detects an open motor or circuit.

Simply press Test again — the tester will usually proceed with the next steps.

What is the Android pairing code for the tester and printer?

For the Metrel DeltaPAT 3309 BT: NNNN (four capital Ns).

  • For Zebra printers: 0000 (four zeroes).

What is the password for installing the Patlink PC software?

When prompted during installation, enter:

MeT123ReL (case sensitive)

If the prompt still appears:

  1. Open Services in Windows (Start → type "Services").
  2. Scroll to SQL Server (METREL).
  3. Right-click and select Start if it's not already running.
  4. Retry the installation and enter the password again.

Why does the unit display "Wrong Voltage"?

"Wrong Voltage" usually appears during a leakage or PRCD test. Check the following:

  1. Is the tester connected to mains power?
  2. Have the fuses inside the tester blown? (Check top rear panel.)
  3. Is your wall socket providing stable 240V power?

Intermittent or insufficient power can prevent the tester from completing the test.

Why can't I upload a logo to reports in Patlink?

If you get a "Permission Denied" error:

  1. Right-click the Patlink icon.
  2. Select "Run as Administrator".
  3. Once open, upload your logo (JPG format, 346 × 95px).

Running the program as admin allows file permissions needed to customise reports.
