Seaward’s Primetest units all have very different features and benefits, so we have created this guide to help you decide which tester is right for you.

Seaward are the UK’s biggest manufacturers of appliance testers and have been supplying products to the Australian market for over a decade. The Primetest models are especially popular, and they range from simple units with pass/fail indicators to fully automatic test and print systems.

Which model should you choose?

125-EL

A super portable tester that’s ideal if you need something that’s simple and fast to use. The 125-EL is battery powered, and features three-button test functionality – so you’ll only need to push one button to perform either Class I, Class II or Leakage Current testing. It's definitely the most manual machine from the Primetest range, you will have to hand write your tags and it does not include internal memory, but for the price point it’s an excellent practical choice. PAC3760-DL

The PAC3760-DL is one of Seaward's basic appliance testers that offers user-friendly operation and a great value option. It's a similar size and shape to the 125-EL, and it also uses the single button test functionality. But where this model really shines is it's ability to test RCD's, store test results in internal memory and it's ability to connect to other accessories, like a printer. It's an excellent middle-ground option, as it will enable you to upgrade in the future if you need. View PAC3760-DL

Primetest Pro

The Primetest Pro is the newest Seaward tester designed to replace the older Primetest 300 model. The unit includes a HD Colour Screen, QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth capabilities and an impressive 10,000 item internal memory. It also comes standard with a 12-month PATGuard 3 software licence for all your asset management and reporting needs. It is printer compatible, but that will need to be purchased separately. Primetest Elite

A long time favourite, the Primetest Elite is widely considered to be the most advanced and feature packed portable appliance tester on the Australian market. It includes many of the same features as the Primetest Pro, but with a few handy extras. It comes with an in-built hi-definition camera with flash, which will enable you to capture images for you records with the tester itself. Although it is compatible, the tester does not come with the PATGuard software. It does however, have the capacity to store 50,000 items in internal memory, which is a good trade off. Primetest Pro Kit

The Primetest Pro Kit, is a new package which features the latest Primetest Pro tester. It’s a highly portable solution, and will enable you automate a large portion of the test and tag process. The tester connects with OPTIMA II Direct Thermal Printer via Bluetooth, which will allow you to send information straight from the tester, and print your tags on the spot. Primetest Elite Kit

This is the ultimate advanced PAT Testing solution available on the Australian market. It features the Primetest Elite Tester, ProTag XL Tag Printer and a Bluetooth Barcode Scanner.
